The Action Play musical “Dimensions & Dragons” is coming to the 14th Street YMCA May 17 & 18, a show created by and starring actors on the autism spectrum.

Actionplay, a pioneering New York theater company, is opening the stage door for neurodiverse kids. That’s due to the bold vision of Aaron Feinstein, who found his voice — and his calling — at UCLA.

For the latest edition of Whisper in the Wings from Stage Whisper, we welcome back one of our favorite performing companies, ACTIONPLAY! And this time we were joined by director Kate Trammell, assistant music director/co-composer Patrik Gelbart, and actor Shayaan Aman to talk about their new work, Total Bummer Summer: A Paranormusical. On November 15, 2023, a new musical called “How to Dance in Ohio” opened in Manhattan’s Belasco Theater. It stars seven neurodivergent actors, all making their Broadway debut. But until now, many have been limited to acting in off-Broadway shows. Two of New York City’s neuro-inclusive theater companies — Actionplay and EPIC Players — are trying to change that.
